Harry Wilson is Fulham’s Player of the Season after beating out Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey in the fan vote.
The Welsh winger grabbed 35.6% of votes thanks to a strong output: 10 goals and 7 assists in 36 Premier League games. That made him Fulham’s most direct goal threat this year.
Bassey wasn’t far behind. The Super Eagles defender finished 2nd with 22.1% after another solid year anchoring Fulham’s back line. He won the same award last season. Raul Jimenez came 3rd with 13%. Iwobi missed the top three despite four goals and three assists in 29 games. He stayed key in midfield, but Wilson’s numbers just edged him out.
Fulham’s season told a similar story: 11th place finish, and they were pushing for Europe until a late dip cost them. They ended two points shy of a Europa League spot. Harrison Reed already took Goal of the Season earlier this week.
Big change coming though. Marco Silva’s off to Benfica, so a new coach and new system arrive next season. That’ll be the test for Bassey and Iwobi to see how they fit under fresh leadership.
