Spanish second-division side CD Leganes has concluded arrangements to reduce their wage bill going into the new season of 2023/2024.

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo who is one of the top earners in the club is part of the players they are willing to sell to balance the book.

The former Chelsea defender joined the club on loan in 2018 before making it permanent and he presently has a year left on his deal.

According to the Spanish news outlet Diario AS, Leganes is not ready to keep Omeruo, as the club also feels his constant injury is another source of worry.

Since his arrival, Omeruo made 84 appearances for Leganes and scored 3 goals.
