    Leaders of BPAN arrive in Uganda for the ABU Conference

    The newly elected President of Boxing Promoters Association of Nigeria (BPAN), Omonlei Yakubu Imadu, the Chairman CEO of Yucateco Boxing Promotions has arrived Kampala the capital city of Uganda for the 2024 convention of Africa Boxing Union (ABU).

    The convention, which has commenced today 18th will end on 23rd August according to the BPAN spokesperson, Edna Aiyegbeni, while a seminar for ring officials will be conducted by two WBC high ring officials.

    The founder of De Lads Boxing Promotions Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Waheed who is the new Vice President of BPAN is expected to join the Yucateco boss for the ABU Convention on Monday as explained by Aiyegbeni.

    “Part of the motives of attending the convention by the leadership of BPAN is to allow them to network with the stakeholders in the global boxing circle for further development of professional boxing in Nigeria and to widen their boxing technical know-how after attending the ring officiating seminar,” said the spokesperson of BPAN.
