The Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Sen) Rasheed Ladoja, and the Oyo State government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, have been urged by the residents of Lafiku and Oke Seni Village in the Oluyole local government area of Ibadan, led by Chiefs Yusuf Alimi, Bale Lafiku, and Murufu Ganiyu, Bale Oke Seni, to save them from a land grabber named Mr. Jelili Oyetunde.

Chief Jelili Adebukola Oyetunde, a disposed bale of Oyetunde-Oke Village, was removed as the bale following his land-grabbing activities by the then late Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba (Sen) Lekan Balogun, in the year 2021.

Speaking with the journalist on behalf of the Ogunkanmi/Onifade under the great Lafiku dynasty, “Akogun Saheed Olawoyin said he was surprised to see Mr. Jelili Oyetunde come up with a court of appeal judgment without a high court judgment about six years ago.

But to my greatest surprise, Mr. Jelili Oyetunde and his gangs have been disturbing the peace of Lafiiku and other villages around them as he goes around with some of his gangs carrying cutlasses and guns to torment the residents of the community with his fake court of appeal judgement.

Lafiku is our ancestral home, steeped in history that spans nearly 500 to 600 years. Five generations of our families have been laid to rest in this village. Until Mr. Jelili Oyetunde arrived and began to disrupt the peace, our community had lived in harmony.

They called upon Ajia Balogun Olubadan of Ibadan land and the supreme head of the Oyetunde-Eleta royal family, Chief Adenrele Lakan Salami, to urge Mr. Jelili Oyetunde, a member of their family, to refrain from tarnishing the family’s reputation.

Meanwhile, the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadan Land, HRM, Oba Hamidu Ajibade, has called on all land grabbers in Oluyole to stop, as the Olubadan in council under our Baba, the imperial majesty Oba (Sen) Rasheed Ladoja, will not tolerate such an act, as it is totally against the law of our country.
