The 2022 newly promoted officers in the Delta State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been decorated, even as they have been charged to always be professional in delivering their core mandates.
The Delta State Command,
NSCDC Commandant, Suleman A. Jimoh, while decorating the officers on Monday, charged them to get acquainted with important developments in the Corps, as well as understand the need for compliance with the Corps Standard Operational Procedures (SOP).
Jimoh, who tasked the officers on the need to always rise up to the occasion in discharging their assigned responsibilities, which come with their new positions and or ranks, added that “The reward for hard work is more work.”
He noted: “I want to express my appreciation to Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi Mini OFR, our amiable Commandant General, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), for his fatherly care, commitment and promotion of the officers numbering over 110 across board.
“I charge you all to always be professional in the discharge of your duties, as well as in delivering our core mandates because any conduct unbecoming of any officer is capable of smearing the image of the Corps.”
Jimoh advised the newly promoted officers to always be responsible in their homes and environment where they live, adding: “You have to live responsibly in your homes because charity begins at home.”
The Command Second In Command (2iC), DCC Ezeh Benedict and Head Of Department (HOD), Operations, DCC Ogundele, also charged the newly promoted officers to prepare for greater assignments as they resume at their new levels.
