Super Eagles: Time to Secure the Points! The showdown takes place at the Nest of Champions in Uyo on Tuesday, March 25—a match that carries immense significance for Nigeria’s World Cup qualification hopes. The mood among Nigerian fans is a mix of hope, anxiety, and determination. This is more than just another fixture; it’s a defining moment in the Super Eagles’ journey toward the world’s biggest football stage. Nigeria’s qualification campaign has been anything but smooth. After four matches, the Super Eagles sit fourth in the group with just six points. South Africa leads with ten, Benin follows with eight, Rwanda has seven, Lesotho with five, and Zimbabwe is at the bottom with two points. Appointed in January 2025, new head coach Eric Chelle is under intense scrutiny.
