The 3rd edition of the Ofugara Peace and Unity Football Tournament entered its second week with thrilling encounters across various centers, as teams continued to jostle for supremacy and a place in the knockout stage.

Saturday, October 11, 2025, witnessed a flurry of goals and tightly contested battles. The Ijaw Ex-Professionals pulled off one of the biggest surprises of the competition so far, defeating defending champions Corner-Lux All-Stars 2–0 in a result that shocked many fans who had expected the outcome to go the other way.

Led by their talismanic striker Okiki Musampa, the Ijaw side showcased remarkable attacking flair and composure. Masuampa’s strength and precision up front unsettled the Corner-Lux defense, inspiring the underdogs to a famous victory that ended the champions’ unbeaten run and marked the Ijaw Ex-Professionals as serious contenders for this year’s title.

In other fixtures, Ex-Leopard All-Stars edged Ubeji All-Stars 1–0 in a tightly contested match, while Agbaro All-Stars and Uvwie Ex-Players battled to a 1–1 draw. Planners All-Stars and Okpe All-Stars Ugbokodo also settled for a goalless stalemate.

Elsewhere, Delta All-Stars displayed dominance with a 2–0 triumph over Sapele All-Stars, and Okpe All-Stars Osubi narrowly defeated DSC All-Stars 1–0 to wrap up the day’s action.

The competition continued with intense matchups on Sunday, October 12, 2025, as Udu Ex-Professionals battled to a hard-earned 2–1 victory over Express All-Stars. Uvwie All-Stars stunned Maracana All-Stars 2–1 in one of the most entertaining games of the weekend.

Elsewhere, Ex-Polavis All-Stars cruised past Delta All-Stars Veterans 2–0, while Daudu All-Stars and Ex-Enerhen United All-Stars thrilled spectators in a 2–2 draw. The final match of the week saw Ighogbadu All-Stars seal a narrow 1–0 win over Ex-Mowoe All-Stars, maintaining the tournament’s reputation for competitive grassroots football and community spirit.

The Ofugara Peace and Unity Cup, now in its third edition, continues to foster unity and rekindle sporting passion among ex-players and All-Star teams across Delta State.
