Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Real Madrid have completed the signing of Internazionale defender Denzel Dumfries, with all formal steps now concluded between the clubs.
According to Romano, Real Madrid have officially informed Inter Milan in writing today that they are activating Dumfries’ release clause, making the transfer legally binding and final. The communication reportedly came through the proper contractual channels, confirming the Spanish club’s intention to proceed without further negotiation.
Dumfries is said to have already completed his medical examination in the Netherlands earlier today. With the medical cleared and paperwork finalized, the Dutch international is now set to become a Real Madrid player ahead of the upcoming season.
All procedural requirements have been completed on both sides, with no outstanding conditions remaining in the deal. Inter Milan will receive a fee of approximately €20 million as compensation following the activation of the release clause.
The transfer is now considered fully concluded, with Dumfries expected to join Real Madrid’s squad imminently once final administrative registrations are processed.
