Top football intermediary and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flying Sport Academy, Marshall Sam Mbre has described Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen as the hottest striker in the world.
Mbre made this assertion at the weekend at the Paddysco Showcase Sports Award held at the Garden Top hotel, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, where he was one of the awardees as the Sports Mentorship Award winner.
According to the respected and renowned agent who discovered, nurtured and took the likes of Nnamdi Oduamadi, John Ogu, Seyi Adeleke, Michael Odibe to Europe, Osimhen is worth whatever amount he’s asking as wages. He wondered why Osimhen is not accorded the respect he deserves, saying if it’s because he’s an African and Nigerian otherwise a former King of African football should be treated better.
“If Liverpool can offer Florian Wirtz what they gave him why can’t they give Osimhen what he’s demanding? Mbre asked rhetorically.
“I think he’s the hottest striker in the world right now, therefore they should accord him that respect.
“Is it because he’s an African and a Nigerian? For someone who has won African Best Player Award definitely should be accorded the respect he deserves”.
The Napoli striker who was on loan at Galatasaray through out last season next career move has been a subject of debate with many top European clubs linked with signing him for the 2025/2026 season after he turned down Saudi side, Al hilal’s offer.
English clubs Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and even Chelsea are all said to be interested with Galatasaray also pushing for a permanent deal to retain the goal poacher who netted 35 goals in 39 appearances for them last season.
