LGBTQ: Mother of Three Cries Out Over Victimization

A mother of three, Justina Chibuzo Ani was attacked yesterday around the Scout Camp area of Molete, Ibadan, by some members of an Islamic sect, the Tijaniyya Islamic Movement of Nigeria, who are on the lookout for her husband, Sunday Joseph Ani, and his bisexual partner, Seyi Ogunjobi.

The woman who spoke to the newsmen where she was taking medical care said the radical Islamic sect seems to also belong to an Islamic organization, the Sufi center, that is situated at the scout camp, which is her neighborhood, but she was wondering why they decided to descend on her, demanding the whereabouts of her husband.

“I was told the people are also working with the landlord association of our area because they have visited our house sometimes ago, demanding the whereabouts of my husband, saying he’s been investigated by the police for a case of bisexuality, and I told them he had left the country. But they seem not satisfied with my explanation,” she noted.

When the leader of the sect in Ibadan, Sayyadi Bashir, was contacted, he claimed Islam Forbids Homosexuality, but he’s not sure it was members of Tijaniyya that attacked the woman, but he will commence an investigation into the matter.

A resident who spoke to newsmen on condition of anonymity said the Islamic sect has been carrying out Jihad in that neighborhood, by raiding brothels, joints where people smoked marijuana, and some dark spots, confirming that they’re actually the ones that attacked Mrs. Ani.
