Assistant Coach of Enyimba, Olanrewaju Yemi, has expressed delight over the victory against Shooting Stars Club of Ibadan in the NPFL.

Yemi, who has been in charge of the team following the unavailability of Coach Finidi George owing to AFCON duties, said he can’t wait to have his boss back in the dugout.

While commending the players for their response and tenacity in the game, Yemi extended his appreciation to fans, the club’s chairman, Nwankwo Kanu, and the team’s head coach for their support.

He said: “Important three points against Shooting Stars at home. I am happy for the boys response and tenacity to have seen the game off.

“Thanks to Enyimba FC for the support especially my boss, Finidi George, for all the love and support and for my chairman Nwankwo Kanu. Without you guys support, we won’t achieve the little we have been able to achieve.

“Now waiting to have my boss Finidi George to be back this week after the great achievement with the Super Eagles in AFCON.”
