The city of Ibadan will be enliven on Sunday, July 16 when the Solat Telecoms FC will be trading tackles with Oyo State Celebrities at the second edition of Solat Telecoms Ileya Celebrity Football Tourney scheduled for the Sports Center of the Lead City University, near Lagos/Ibadan express toll-gate end of Ibadan.
The annual football fiesta will take new dimension this year as fans and sports lovers will have opportunities to watch the three novelty matches, as interestingly, two of the oldest grassroots clubs in Oyo state, Shafaudeen Patriots FC and Allah’s Will FC will kick-off the day’s activities at 12:30pm before Solat Telecoms Ladies and Okeola Queens FC will lock horns at 2pm while the highly anticipated match between Solat Telecoms FC and Oyo State Celebrity All Stars will gets underway by 4pm.
Important dignitaries have signified their intention to be part of the event. These include Alhaja Abiola Ibrahim Adedoja, the Managing Director of Vintage 93.7 FM as the Chief Host, Mrs. Folasade Akinola, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Celebrity Magazine as the mother of the day while Dr Yinka Ayefele, the CEO/MD of Fresh FM Nigeria, the Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji YK Abass, Dr Amos Ajanaku the founder of Ibadan City Polytechnic will grace the event.
Others are; Alhaji Opakunle Adams, Chief Ademola Babalola, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State chapter, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde, Chairperson of Kayromlee Gym and Fitness Centre, Oyo state FIBAN President, Comrade Seun Awodele, and the general manager of Amuludun FM, Mr. Steven Agbaje.
