Future Planners FC to Battle Amicable FC In Opener, As 6th Abaji Football Coaches Tourney Gets Underway Today

Arrangements have been concluded for the commencement of the 6th edition of the Abaji Area Council, Football Coaches Competition; which kicks-off today, October 16th, 2024 at the play ground of Abaji Central Primary School.
According to the Head of the Organizing Committee, and Vice Chairman Abaji Football Council, Sulaiman Alhaji Ibrahim 19 Clubs will compete for honours and the giant winners’ trophy on offer.
Dream Team FC of Abattoir won the last edition, and are ranked as one of the threes teams that can win this edition.
Today’s opening ceremony of the annual grassroots competition is expected to be graced by the Chairman FCT Football Association Technical Committee, Coach Samuel Abimbola, Board members representing Abuja South & NLO Board member representing North-Central Barr. Babatunde Akintade “Bucknor”.
Others are FCT FA board member, and retired Grade 1 Referee, and Chairman Women League of the FCT FA, Ngozi Eze; the Treasurer Football Coaches Association (FCT Chapter) Bilkis Tijani, as well as Coaches Luke Olaiya and Olatunji Meshack.
According to the fixtures made available to Sports Day, the curtain raiser will have Future Planners FC of Road Safety Quarters take on Amicable FC of St. Peters, starting from 3:30 pm today.

Kamsas FC of Naharati Vs Old Timers of Abaji Central at 2pm on Thursday; while Emirates Stars FC of UBE Arena are up against Future Academy at 4pm.
And on Friday, the first match billed for 2pm pits Laliga FC of Market Road Gbakya against Tornadoes FC of Abaji West, before the 4pm kick-off between All Stars of Abaji Central Vs Police Machine of Lowcost.
The Organizing Body has also assured that arrangements have been finalized for medics to provide first aid on all match days; same for referees, security and a media stand; whilst a Man Of the Match Certificate is to be awarded after each fixture, and for all matches.
