    Former NPFL Player, Suleiman, Dies During Training In Kano

    Sabo Suleiman (a.k.a Sabo captain), former Nigeria Premier League player with clubs such as Jigawa Golden Stars, on Sunday morning died at Kano Pillars Stadium during Kano ex-footballers training sessions.

    The deceased in his active football days laced his boot for Dantata United and Jigawa Golden Stars.

    According to eye witness, who spoke to an online medium, late Sabo arrived  Kano Pillars Stadium for the banal weekend  football sessions, he participated in all the shake up activities, suddenly “he then complained to someone beside him of slight stomach pains, he bent down only to discovered that he has stopped breathing.”

    The Public Relations Officer, Kano Ex-Footballers Association, Chidi Obasi, who confirmed the demise of the deceased said “tragedy struck this morning when Kano ex-footballers, Sabo Captain, fell and died, while training at Kano Pillars Stadium.”

    Obasi confirmed that late Sabo was laid to rest at Ahmadiyya Muslim burial ground in accordance with Islamic Injunctions
