An education expert and international consultant for education, Dr. Akinkunmi Akingbade, has started a free session to inform those interested in learning more about the process of becoming a caregiver in Canada. The course will begin on March 31, 2025.

An online training session starting March 8th, 2025, by 9:00 am tagged ‘Explore your path to becoming a caregiver in Canada, part two,’ where Dr. Akinkunmi Akingbade, who is also a principal consultant, A3 Immigration Inc., and Barr. Abosede Akinsola, a legal practitioner, will be delivering useful tips to people.

Caregivers in Canada, according to Dr. Akingbade, a licensed Canadian immigration expert, play a crucial role in providing care for children, elderly individuals, and people with medical needs or disabilities, stressing that Canada has immigration pathways specifically designed for foreign caregivers who want to work and live in the country.

“Types of caregivers in Canada include first, childcare providers, nannies, babysitters, and early childhood caregivers. Second is Elderly Caregivers, who are personal support workers and home care aides, while the third is Caregivers for Persons with Disabilities, those assisting individuals with medical or mobility challenges.”

He, however, highlighted some challenges and opportunities. “Some challenges are long working hours, sometimes with little rest. The immigration process can take time, while some caregivers face exploitation or unfair treatment, but the opportunities are in high demand due to Canada’s aging population.”

“Part of the opportunities is also a pathway to permanent residency, as many provinces offer support programs for caregivers, so people willing to acquire more knowledge can join our information session for the caregiver pathway starting March 31st, 2025,” said Dr. Akinkunmi Akingbade.
