In line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE
Agenda, engineers in the
Delta State Ministry of
Works have been trained to
deliver in the construction
of quality infrastructures
for meaningful development
across the state.
Speaking to SportsDay ,Permanent Secretary
in the Ministry of Works, Mr.
Fred Edafe Ogor, who represented Mr. Charles Aniagwu,
Commissioner for Works
(Rural Roads) and his counterpart Hon. Reuben Ezeze
overseeing Higher and Urban
Roads, during the 4th edition
of the Annual Training for
Engineers under the Delta
State Ministry of Works, said
the timely training was to ensure efficient service delivery
of the construction personnel
in the infrastructural drive
of the MORE Agenda of the
Oborevwori-led administration.
He noted that the training
would place the engineers in
a position to partner the state
government to deliver quality projects for the massive
development agenda of the
governor, saying, “We are to
ensure we deliver meaningful
projects that will impact the
lives of Deltans.”
According to him, “Government expects a lot from
us because it has a massive
developmental infrastructural agenda to drive the
state to where it has never
been.
“We know the process of
development can be challenging but we are more equipped
to deliver the best.”
He recalled that the continuous training of engineers
since its initiation by the former Commissioner of Works,
Chief James Aguoye, in 2017
has yielded desirable results
in the quality of projects
across the years.
