    CBN Junior Tennis 2026 : Pinky Onyemenam, Afaramai, Others Emerge Champions

    Pinky Onyemenam, of Abuja Tennis Academy, surpassed all oppositions to emerge champion of the Girls 12s category of the 2026 Central Bank of Nigeria Junior Tennis championship.Playing in finals decided at the Prestigious Ikoyi Club Ikoyi 1938, Pinky Onyemenam, defeated Amira Mohammed 9-4 to claim victory while Gideon Peter beat Moroti Sowemimo, 9-2 to emerge champion in the boys 12s age category .The boys 14 title was won by Alaba Adesina that beat Gideon Afaramai 9-5 while Barakat Ganiyu defeated Sinmi Olaniyan 9-5 also to emerge victorious in the Girls 14s age bracket.Gloria Samuel was glorious in the Girls 16s category by beating Favour James 9-3 while the biggest match of the day was in the boys 16s category where hard hitting Heman Afaramai of the Nigeria Police College Ikeja, Lagos Tennis Academy defeated Damilola Agunbiade 9-7 in a close encounter that could have gone either way..
    Apart from emerging champion in the Girls 12s category, Pinky Onyemenam.also stood out to win the girls most outstanding player award for 2026 while Heman Afaramai emerged as the most outstanding player in the boys category.
