    Break Dance A Sports Tool To Empower Youths – Aderonke.

    CEO and founder of Fame Foundation, Ms Arabirin Aderonke Ogunleye-Bello has done noble in her quest to alleviate youths restiveness in the society.
    She posited this in her Break Dance Championship competition a pet project under her foundation in boosting sports in Nigeria.
    The National Break Dance Championship which qualifiers has been held in other centers in Kaduna, Kano, Portharcourt, with the Abuja chapter held over the weekend. Saw a lot of great break dancers from the youths that came to showcase their talents to the world.
    In partnership with French Embassy in Nigeria, the foundation has deem it fit to use Break Dance as a tool to rescue youth from restiveness. Speaking with journalists at the Abuja event, Aderonke pointed out reasons for the competition and to use it as a qualifier to the Olympics next year as Breakdance has been added as a sport.
    “Organising this competition is a great one for us. We are happy. We have been to other centers and now we are in Abuja. In two weeks time the final phase will be in Lagos for the finale, where there will be overall winners of both Male and female, that will represent Nigeria at the Olympics and Break Dance Championship in France.
    Break Dance is a sport that will compete at the Olympics. So the idea is to get dancers that could compete for Nigeria at the Olympics in France next year.
    That is why we here to create awareness about the  extent of break dance as a sports and secondly to also use it under the iniative of Fame Foundation to use it as a tool to empower women and girls also using Break Dance at the year of Olympics to empower the youths. “” She concluded.
    Six dancers made it from Abuja. A female and five male dancers who will be joining the already sixteen qualified dancers for Kaduna, Kano, Porthacourt centers to the Grand Finale in Lagos.
