After the eight rounds light-heavyweight contest fight ended in a majority draw between Olanrewaju “Succes” Segun and Idowu “ID Buster” Rasheed during a boxing show held on the eve of Christmas inside the indoor sports hall of National Stadium Surulere Lagos, the Ibadan based boxer ID Buster has vowed to come out stronger in a rematch scheduled for three months time.

Idowu Rasheed of the famous Francis Aiyegbeni Boxing Club seems not satisfied with the draw recorded against the more experienced opponent Olanrewaju Segun while speaking with newsmen after the fight and has assured his fans of destroying the Lagos based boxer when they confronted again.

The fight which was officiated by the Belgian renowned boxing referee/judge, Daniel Van De Wiele who was in Nigeria for a seminar was adjudged as one of the most exciting bout of the night by the President of Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC), Dr. Rafiu Ladipo who supervised the fight and approved a rematch in about three months time.

“We are only able to train ID Buster for just 16 days ahead of this fight, so I am sure he will be in a killer mood when we handle him for three months ahead of the rematch,” says Coach Jombo while reacting after the bout.

In other bouts of the night, Sikiru ‘Omo Iya eleja’ Shogbesan defeated  Azeez ‘Latest’ Ayobami by unanimous decision (90-100, 93-99, 93-99, 93-97) to retain his National Super-featherweight title while female Lightweight boxer, Cynthia Ogunsemilore Stops Akindele Opeyemi in round three via TKO.
