Ishaka Salutes Oborevwori On Approval Of Opete Road

    By Tobore Akpososo

Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Community Development, Barr J.E.O Ishaka has expressed immense joy and appreciation to the Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori for approving the main Opete Road for reconstruction, describing the gesture as the best news of the year for the people.

In a statement he personally signed and released to newsmen, Barr Ishaka, who is secretary to the Udu PDP College of Leaders, noted that Governor Oborevwori has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that he is a listening grassroot leader who truly feels the pulse of the people and respond to their dreams and aspirations in an excellent manner.

‘’His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State deserves our commendation and praise for this wonderful gesture. We have received the good news of the approval of the reconstruction of the Opete road from the Plantation city to the Opete water side with overwhelming joy. I am to add that this road was one of the roads recommended for rehabilitation during the town hall meeting with the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor, the most distinguished Senator Chief Emmanuel Edesiri Aguariavwodo on October 22, 2024 at Otor-Udu. This approval of this auspicious project at the first State Exco meeting, that is less than 30 days after the town hall meeting, is a testament to the commitment of the Governor to the welfare of the people.

‘’We have no doubt that the indefatigable governor would surely meet the other requests of the Udu people in the position paper presented to his able representative in the implementation of the MORE agenda. On behalf of the entire people of Opete Community, the party leaders and Exco members, councilors, political appointees, indigenes and residents of Opete community and the entire Ward 5, I earnestly appreciate His Excellency for this show of love for the Udu people in general, Opete and the entire Ward 5 in particular, being the first ward, he visited in Udu during his campaigns for the 2023 general elections.

‘’It is trite to know that the Opete/Okpaka road was constructed about 20 years ago during Chief James Onanefe Ibori administration with the influence of Engr Moses Kragha and it had stood the test of time. Major Egone, who handled the contract, did a good job. The approval for reconstruction would not have been possible without the synergy that exists between our leaders and the governor, for which I give kudos to our Executive Council Chairman, Chief Vincent Oyibode; the leadership of the Udu PDP College of Leaders headed by Chief (Hon) Eddie Ono-Sorhue and the LGA Party Chairman, Evang David Siloko among others. We are grateful to you all’’, the former PDP Udu LGA Chairman and former State Legal Adviser of the PDP added.
