    2026 NIGERIA MEN’S PREMIER BASKETBALL LEAGUE::Abuja, Benin, Ibadan, Jos Agog As Atlantic And Savannah Conferences Begin

    There is pure excitement amongst basketball stakeholders and fans of the game, as the 2026 Nigeria Men’s Premier Basketball League, tips off Sunday, across four dedicated centres of the Atlantic and Savannah conferences.

    Twenty teams are featuring in this years championship, including defending champions Maktown Flyers Basketball Club and debutants 313 Warriors, Aso SkyHawks, Athletes For Peace, Coal City Blazers and Dam Confluence Giants.

    The teams pooled into two groups each in the Atlantic and Savannah conferences, would be doing battles in Abuja, Jos, Benin and Ibadan in the conference phases, for slots in the final phase.

    Group A of the Savannah conference features Kano Pillars, 313 Warriors, Gombe Bulls, Plateau Peaks and Bauchi Nets, playing games at Basketball Stadium, Rayfield, Jos. Abuja hosts group B matches involving Gboko City Chiefs, Nigeria Customs, Nile University, Niger Potters and Aso Sky Hawks.

    Atlantic conference would feature Comets, Raptors, Rivers Hoppers, Dam Confluence Giants and Hoops and Read, going head to head in group A matches to played at Obafemi Awolowo stadium, Ibadan.

    While group B games involving Athletes For Peace, Maktown Flyers, Coal City Blazers, Edo Beads and Kwara Falcons, would hold at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin city.
