    2024 Adover H’Ball Prem League Phase 2, Day 3: Safety Shooters Maintain Winning Streak, Kano Pillars Suffer Another Defeat

    Lagos Seasiders defeated Sunshine Kings of Ondo 24-21yesterday in the ongoing second phase of the Ardova Handball Premier League taking place in Lagos.

    Having rested on Thursday after the walkover victory against Confluence Stars, the Kings were tipped to do better in this game but they failed when it mattered most and paid with the loss to the Lagos team.

    In other games played in the men’s category, Benue Buffaloes beat weeping boys Adamawa Warriors 44-36 for an important win; while Rima Strikers of Sokoto walked over Confluence Star of Lokoja, and were awarded a 10-0 win, without throwing a ball.

    Correction Boys fell 23-34 FRSC Safety Shooters in an Abuja derby

    Kano Pillars were again beaten 23-31 by defending men’s champions, Niger United of Minna; whilst De NSCDC Defenders lost to the table toppers TojeMarine Academy of Lagos 21-31.

    In the women’s category, leaders FRSC Safety Babes of Abuja made it three wins in three games, by trouncing Imo Grasshopper of Owerri 43-24 in a one-sided affair.

    Also, Rima Queens of Sokoto thrashed Delta Queens of Asaba 31-26, while COAS Babes of Abuja lost 30-35 to NSCDC Defender Babes also of Abuja.

    Seasiders Babes of Lagos and Rivers Queens of Port Harcourt drew 26–26 in a thriller that kept fans on the edge of their seats Al through the game; while Plateau Peacocks of Jos edged Bendel Dynamos of Benin 18–17, in Friday’s show stopper.

    The 2024 Adover Premier Handball league continued this morning with more games decided at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Institute for Sports; and the Rove Park, in Yaba, Lagos.
