Inspire Sports Academy Greater Tomorrow Feeders Team (ISAGT), has vowed to humble Ikorodu City as both sides clash in the final of the 1X Cup Championship which will be decided at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

The high-flying side secured their place in the final of the competition which is in Season 3, after an empathic 2-0 win against Dosu Joseph FC in a pulsating semi final match up.

In an exclusive interview with SportsDay, the Public Relations Officer of Inspire Sports Academy, Oluwatope Ayokunle, popularly known as Tubaba, stated confidently that their team will defeat Ikorodu City in regulation time.

He however agreed that Ikorodu City is a good side, but the fact that their team is younger gives them that slight advantage.

“We will definitely defeat Ikorodu City in a straight win without going into penalty shootout, Tubaba boasted.

“Ikorodu City is a good side, don’t get me wrong, we respect them, but we have met severally and this is another opportunity to prove our superiority over them.

“It’s going to be a tough match no doubt, but the fact we possess younger players who are quicker and would react faster to winning 50/50 duels gives us that slight edge.

“Our senior team got knocked out in the quarter finals but this our young side which will go places will do us proud on Thursday”, he concluded.

The game promises to be an interesting final with Nath Boys which lost to Ikorodu City in the other semi final clash will now face Dosu Joseph in the third place match.

Overall winner gets N10m while N5m goes to the second place team and N3m will be pocketed by the third place winner.
