Arsenal’s bravery and resilience paid off against Man city but their widest dream of three point eluded them to a 2-2 draw with frustrations and discomforts at the Etihad Stadium. The game started to the disadvantage of the Gunners who were behind when Erling Haaland ran straight through the heart of the defence to poke beyond David Raya. Ilkay Gundogan then struck the post with a free kick and it looked as though Arsenal were in for an endless fight for dominance.

Bit by bit the Gunners began to gain their balance as they replied Man city with an astounding equaliser through a stunning strike from the edge of the box by Riccardo Calafiori after a quickly taken free kick. As the first half ticked in to stoppage time, Gabriel on the other hand provoked another volley to score from a Bukayo Saka corner for a second consecutive game.

Arsenal mounted so much pressure to stay in control, but with seconds remaining in the half Leandro Trossard attract to himself a second yellow card for kicking the ball away which intensified the atmosphere into an entirely attack vs defence mood.

The Gunners looked like they had done enough to hold out for a famous three points, but with seconds to go John Stones striked the devastating equaliser.
