Jey Uso has officially reached the top of the mountain, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41.

After stunning fans with a Royal Rumble win, Uso went up against Gunther to open the premium live event. Looking to score one of his first wins against Gunther since their feud. In the match, both men went all out trying to secure the win, but it was Uso who would come out on top.

The match came to an end after Uso was able to land multiple splashes onto Gunther. After that, he shocked Gunther by locking in a choke hold that forced the champion to tap out. After the win, Uso celebrated with the title, while the crowd celebrated with him with Uso’s now iconic “Yeet” celebration. Jey’s brother Jimmy also came out to celebrate, and the pair hugged in the ring.

Uso and Gunther’s feud included multiple matches, as well as an intense moment just a few weeks ago. During which Gunther attacked Jimmy, bloodying him and mocking Jey the whole time. Following that, Jey promised he would do everything in his power to beat Gunther, and said he was no longer afraid of him.

The moment comes as a culmination of Uso’s rise to superstardom over the past year. Ever since his move to a solo star, Uso has become a fan-favorite amongst the WWE Universe.
