As the Batch 5 students of the foremost Ibadan-based broadcasting school, Royal Sky Media Academy, set for their graduation, a respected voice in broadcast journalism, Wale Rufai, has been lined up to deliver a keynote address to the graduating students.

Alh. Wale Rufai, who retired from the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) and now joined the service of Fresh FM Nigeria as the general manager of Tiwan Tiwa FM Ibadan, will on Monday, 14th July 2025, speak on a keynote topic: “Media Careers Beyond the Microphone: Exploring Diverse Roles in the Industry.”

Rufai’s respected voice and professional experience made him a highly valued inspiration to the students, according to a release issued and signed by Olufemi Timothy Ogunyejo, the Dean of the Academy.

“This special event, scheduled for the Classroom Hall, Royal Sky Media Academy, Challenge, Ibadan, themed ‘Breaking into the Media World: Passion, Purpose & Persistence,’ aims to celebrate our students’ journey and equip them with real-world perspectives on succeeding in the ever-evolving media industry,” the statement reads.

The program will also include a student spotlight, an interactive Q&A session, and a networking & mentorship mixer to foster direct engagement between our students and industry professionals.

“Behind this radiance lies the visionary force, Asiwaju Enitan Olusegun Bamidele JP, the revered Proprietor of Royal Sky Media and the indefatigable founder of EOB Multiconcept. A colossus with a golden heart, Asiwaju Bamidele is not merely a name but a movement. His unquenchable passion for mentoring the next generation of broadcasters and media professionals stands tall like a lighthouse in a stormy sea, unwavering, illuminating, and inspiring,” the statement reads in part.

Among the instructors of the school is Mr. Joy Akinlolu, Instructor in Public Speaking and the steadfast Registrar of the Academy, whose elocution and poise set the tone for professionalism.

Mrs. Adeolami Aya Olatunji, guiding hearts and tongues in Introduction to Indigenous Language and Mass Communication. And Mr. Femi Oladipo, who sculpted minds in the art of news writing for broadcast media.

Others include Mr. Segun Fawole, teaching master of Programme Production and Management, and Mr. Aderemi Ishola, digital artisan in Multimedia Production, who taught creativity not as a concept, but as a way of life. Also is Barr. Oguntayo George Olalekan, teaching Mass Media Law. Mr. Samson Akindele is an instructor of media management, turning strategy into structure.

And the tireless Mr. Olufemi Timothy Ogunyejo, the Dean of the Academy, also lectures on advertising, public relations, and marketing. Mr. Adeniji Kunle teaches Responsible Journalism and Conflict Resolution.
