Prince Vincent Okumagba, the chairman of the Unified Supporters’ Club, praised the Super Eagles’ efforts in earning the crucial three points in yesterday’s FIFA World Cup qualifying match in Uyo but emphasized that the lads’ performance against the Rwandans still left a lot to be desired. The Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Unified Supporters in his post-match reactions affirmed that Eagles will get all the much-needed support to secure three points in South Africa on Tuesday, saying, “Although the team secured a needed result today, their display lacked the fluidity, intensity, and cohesion that fans and analysts expect from Nigeria’s national squad.”

However, Okumagba specifically praised NSC Chairman Shehu Diko and Director General Bukola Olopade for their support, particularly as the team gets ready play South Africa to cheer the Super Eagles on Tuesday. The original idea, he added, was to reserve 120 seats for the Unified Supporters’ Club group traveling to South Africa, but this had to be changed because of Bloemfontein Stadium’s limited capacity.

“We will not accept anything less than victory. We have devoted our time, effort, and resources to making sure the Eagles have adequate support. We are confident that Nigeria will win both games and get as many points as possible,” he said.

“Tuesday’s match against South Africa demands a significant improvement, both mentally and physically. The players must deliver a convincing performance, enhance communication, and show heightened determination to regain confidence and assert dominance on the pitch.”

“The fans of the Super Eagles deserve a team that plays with style, fights hard, and maintains the high standards appropriate for Nigeria’s rich footballing heritage. The Super Eagles represent a proud footballing nation,” said the Prince of the Okumagba dynasty.
