Football stakeholders in Kebbi State have commended the ongoing U-16 Scouting Tournament being held in four venues, namely, FIFA Goal Project football field, Birni Kebbi, New Stadium, Argungu, and School of Health Technology, Jega.

The scouting event which has started on 15th and will end on 22nd February 2025 is being organized the Inspire Sport Academy, Lagos and sponsored by Mobil according to Ogette Francis, the director of Inspire Sport Academy and Akinkunmi Akinpelu, the chief scouting officer for Kebbi State zone.

Speaking during the opening ceremony of the scouting event, the Secretary of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Kebi State chapter, Babangida Seriki, who also monitored the scouting program, described it as one of the best in terms of fairness and volume of talents that participated.

Seriki thanked the sponsor and organizer for beaming their searchlight to Kebbi State, saying the state has lots of football talents, but they often don’t get such opportunities to express their skills.

“This kind of program, if often organized, will take the young ones out of the streets and positively engage them for a better future. I really want to appreciate the sponsors and organizers, the Inspire Sports Academy Lagos and Mobil for coming here,” he noted.
