
Former Super Eagles and Enyimba International coach,Finidi George has been unveiled as Rivers United coach.
Finidi signed a two-year deal to manage the
former Nigerian champions.
Finidi moved on after quitting his job as head coach of the national team.
He resigned as Super Eagles coach after the team drew 1-1 at home with South Africa
and lost 2-1 away to Benin Republic in crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers last month.
He has now signed a two-year contract with top NPFL side Rivers United.
“I do not want to be idle as a coach said the 53 year-old coach who has now made a quick return to the NPFL with Rivers United.
He said Rivers United will get back to
winning ways.”The target set is for Rivers United to perform and at least get the continental ticket. “It is a difficult task but we are capable ,and will do our best to achieve that.”
