    Rena Wakama Wins Women’s Basketball Coach At Paris Olympics

    Rena Wakama Head coach of Nigeria’s D’Tigress, in concluding Paris Olympics, she won the best women’s basketball coach at the Paris Olympics 2024.
    The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced this prestigious accolade on Sunday, concluding the Olympic Games.

    Rena Wakama’s selection highlights her outstanding leadership and tactical expertise, which elevated Nigeria to remarkable success at the Games.

    At just 32 years old, Rena Wakama led the D’Tigress to an unprecedented achievement: becoming the first African team to reach the Olympic quarterfinals.

    Under her guidance, the team secured memorable victories against the world’s top-ranked teams, including Australia (ranked 3rd) and Canada (ranked 5th).

    In the quarterfinals, the D’Tigress pushed the USA to the brink, demonstrating their prowess before eventually being narrowly defeated.
    This is absolutely huge for her country amidst all others.
