Enugu Rangers Management has introduced educational pursuits for players of Rangers International Women FC, which was formed few months ago
This was made known on Thursday when the club’s General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku, led members of his management on a visit to Alliance Francais School in Enugu, a French language and cultural center.
While speaking during the visit, Ezeaku says the innovation is part of plans to improve the players mental ability and also expose them to language conditions they may face whenever they travel abroad to continue their footballing career.
“We, as a management taught it wise to introduce this innovation in order to enhance the players mental ability apart from just playing football on the pitch”.
“We have decided that whenever the players finish their training, they can engage in studies to sharpen their knowledge”. “This will be useful and productive to them when there’s a language barrier in an environment that demands quick assimilation”.
In her response, the Director of the school, Mrs. Ijeamaka Ezeilo, commended Rangers management for their pragmatic approach aimed at creating excellence for the players.
“Let me commend the Rangers Management team for taking to this bold step and beautiful approach that will raise the standard of women football like it has never been practiced”.
“I’m quite sure this will not only broaden the players knowledge, but, as well help to raise their intelligence beyond the game of football”.
Ezeilo promised to ensure everything is done in her capacity to make the process a success.
“For me, this is a task that must be accomplished because of its importance to the society and the players”.
“I promise to make sure I drive this process to a positive end, because by doing this the school would have raised humanity and also render a professional touch in educating the girl-child”, concludes Ezeilo.
The Rangers International Women FC is expected to be inaugurated before the end of this month.
