According to a press statement by Head Media of the Union, Comrade Ikemefuna John Kennedy .
Bunu describes the Ramadan period as a time of sobber reflection, a time for atonement of our wrong doings in the presence of the Almighty Allah; saying it’s indeed a time for a sobber reflection in His presence to ask for forgiveness.
The Maritme henchman said that during this holy month of Ramadan, we as a people must renew our mindset by enhancing all our ties, and amending our ways across all families, communities, and by extension to all tiers of governments, and by remembering our fellow brothers and sisters in Nigeria and across the world; and those who are victims of wars, and devastated by insecurity in various communities across the world, reminding them that the Almighty God is still in charge and there’s nothing He cannot do to save his people.
He also emphasized the fact that insecurity, criminality, and all sorts of crimes against humanity still prevail the land, and have taken over major communities in the country and across the globe.
The MWUN President General is also seeking the face of the Almighty God at this Ramadan period to bringing back the usual peace and love humanity enjoyed as it were, believing that there’s no problem too big for the Almighty God to solve; saying this is the reason for this month’s sobber reflection by turning unto God for all our solutions for a deserved peaceful country and the globe generally.
Bunu also said that as Comrades and Nigerans, we should also reflect on the important roles that the Marine and Blue Economy play in supporting national growth and the economy of the country.
Therefore, in this Ramadan season, we should continue to reflect and to understand and pray fervently for our nation Nigeria for perpetual peace and progress; believing that the best way to achieve our aims is to stand strong at all times on solidarity of purpose and by recognizing and respecting each other, irrespective of tribe, religion or status, we must know that God is the Creator of all being.
This is wishing all Muslims in Nigeria and across the world a happy Ramadan season.
