PSG In Contact With Crystal Palace’s Zaha

PSG have reportedly approached Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha who is set to become a free agent at the end of June.

It has long be known that Zaha’s contract would expire on 30th June but where he will be playing next season is still very much a mystery with multiple clubs after the 30-year-old.

Palace have offered their talisman a brand new £200,000-a-week deal to stay at Selhurst Park, while there is interest from Atletico Madrid and Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.

The latter have been keeping tabs on the Ivory Coast international for a while and have even offered him a three-year contract worth £45million and the chance to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

But Le Parisien now report that PSG have entered the race for Zaha with the Ligue 1 giants focusing their attention on free agents following the captures of Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan and Marco Asensio from Real Madrid.

Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan and Marcus Thuram, a target for several Premier League clubs have also been linked with the Parc des Princes.

PSG are keen on bringing in more firepower after losing Lionel Messi to Inter Miami while there is much speculation surrounding the future of Neymar.

They also hold an interest Zaha’s teammate Michael Olise who enjoyed a fantastic season, recording 11 assists in the league, but the France U21 winger has no interest in switching clubs this summer.

Zaha is in no rush to decide his future and is happy to take his time to assess all options, though it is though he is keen to stay in Europe and would be tempted by the prospect of playing in the Champions League.

The forward is arguably Palace’s greatest player of all-time having come through their academy and played a key role in their promotion to the top-flight in 2013.

He then joined Manchester United but would make just four appearances for them before returning to the Eagles the following season where he has remained ever, helping the club remain in the Premier League with relative ease.

In total, he has made 458 appearances for the club, scoring 90 goals and making 76 assists.

He came close to leaving South London again in 2019 for Arsenal or Everton and the Gunners, alongside Chelsea, had reportedly renewed their interest in him recently, though that seems to have cooled in recent months.
