Kolawole Tajudeen, the owner of Oye Olorun Football Club, has pleaded with the Oyo State government, led by Seyi Makinde, to provide his team with the same level of support that Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, which plays in the NPFL, and Crown FC of Ogbomoso, which plays in the Nigerian National League, have received.

The club owner, who made the appeal while speaking with reporters in Saki, believed that what is good for the goose should also be good for the gander; people from the Oke-Ogun axis of the state should be given the same privileges that the two states’ owned teams had previously enjoyed in the spirit of equanimity.

The proprietor of Oye Olorun FC stated that he has done his best to provide talented youths from the Saki Oke-Ogun axis who want to use football as a means of livelihood with a good opportunity and a better platform to do so, but that individual efforts are insufficient, especially when the team is progressing through the Nigerian league.
“We are appealing to the governor because he has demonstrated to be a sports-loving person considering his huge investments in the area of sports infrastructural development since he came into office, but noting much is extended to this side, the Oke-Ogun axis of the state, a team from here, Saki United, defeated every team, including 3SC, in the final of the State’s FA Cup two seasons ago and emerged the champion of the state.”

“Inadequate funding prevented them from effectively representing Oyo State in the national FA Cup at that time, as the state government did not provide sufficient support to the team.” We’re also on the verge of gaining promotion from the NLO now, hence our plea to the state government. We have abundant football talents in this axis, and they can only strive with good government support because we have done our best as a private individual,” said Alhaji Kolawole Tajudeen, who owns Oye Olorun Travels and Tours in Saki.

“We are committed to producing the stars of tomorrow, giving them the best football education that will enable them to make a lasting impact on the national and international stage. We strive to ensure our students have an everlasting passion for the beautiful game,” he added.Tajudeen emphasized the importance of collaboration between private sectors and government entities to nurture young talents. He believes that with the right resources and guidance, these aspiring athletes can reach their full potential and contribute significantly to the future of football in the country.
