    Organisers Of  Michael & Felicia Alabi Memorial Table Tennis Festival Confirm Date For 5th Edition

    The organizers of the annual Michael and Felicia Alabi Memorial Table Tennis Festival have confirmed 27th April to 3rd May, 2025, as the date for the 5th edition of the event scheduled to take place at Idera Multi-purpose Hall in Otan Ayegbaju, Osun State, Nigeria.

    The grade ‘A’ ping-pong event, according to the organizers, Osun State Table Tennis Association under the auspices of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, is staged annually in Osun State in memory of the late Michael and Felicia Alabi.

    The 2024 edition of the tournament featured participants from all the 36 states of the federation, including Abuja, which made the tourney to be recognized by the Nigerian Table Tennis Federation as a national tournament, awarding points to participants for international events.

    The money-spinning tourney has many categories, which include men’s singles, women’s singles, under-15 boys’ singles, under-15 girls’ singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, veteran singles, Para men singles open, and Para women singles open, while deaf men singles and deaf women singles, local singles.

    The tourney, which was put together to showcase Nigerian culture and talent, will also increase awareness and promotion of table tennis as a sport in Nigeria.

    “The Table Tennis Fest promises to be an unforgettable experience for table tennis enthusiasts and the wider community. We believe that this event will help promote table tennis, foster a sense of community, and showcase Nigerian culture and talent. we look forward to working with all and sundry to make the event a successful one this year,” said the organiser.
