A prominent political figure in Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Opaleye, has been named the Renewed Hope Ambassador for the local government area in recognition of his strategic political acumen, leadership qualities, and unwavering commitment to progressive politics.
The announcement was made by the Ibadan Southwest LG Apex Leader during a gathering of party faithful and stakeholders who commended Opaleye for his consistent dedication to grassroots mobilization and his role in strengthening the political structure within the local government.
Speakers at the event described Opaleye as a shrewd and dependable political mobilizer whose influence and ability to connect with the people have contributed significantly to the growth of the party at the grassroots level. According to them, his emergence as the Renewed Hope Ambassador reflects the confidence that party leaders and supporters have in his capacity to drive the Renewed Hope agenda within the local government and beyond.
In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Opaleye expressed gratitude to the party leadership and stakeholders for finding him worthy of the responsibility. He pledged to redouble his efforts in mobilizing support across Ibadan South West to advance the Renewed Hope vision and strengthen the party’s presence in the area.
“I am deeply honored by this recognition and the trust reposed in me. I assure our leaders and supporters that I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the Renewed Hope agenda gains deeper roots among our people,” he said.
Opaleye also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the political vision and leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that he and his team would intensify grassroots engagement and political coordination to ensure the continued success of the administration’s policies and ambitions.
He emphasized the importance of unity among party members, noting that collective effort and loyalty remain critical in consolidating the gains of the party in Oyo State and across the country.
