    Olukusa Football Tourney: Ibadan’ Biggest Grassroots Tournament Underway

    The highly anticipated Olukusa Football Tournament is poised to revolutionize grassroots football in Nigeria. Organized by the Grassroots Football Talents Developers Association of Nigeria (GRAFTADEAN), and scheduled for 1st-30th November, 2025 in Ibadan.

    This inaugural edition according to Engr. W.A Afolabi, the Overseer and Competition Director promises to be the largest and most prestigious tournament of its kind in the country.

    The tournament which is being sponsored by Chief Ibrahim Sheriffdeen Akano Adetunji, the Mogaji of the Olukusa Dynasty Ibadan is organized with aims to discover and nurture exceptional football talents in Ibadan, providing a platform for young players to showcase their skills and potentially launch their careers.

    “All the materials needed for the maiden tournament that will become an annual football championship in Ibadan, such as medals, trophies, jerseys and shields for individuals prizes are been manufactured from China and will arrive in country soon,” said Mogaji Olukusa.

    The Opening match has been scheduled for Olubadan mini stadium while the grand-finale and the closing ceremony will be at the Lekan Salami Sport Complex, Adamasigba Ibadan with mouth watering incentives awaiting all the winners.
