The Oduduwa Development & Integrity Organisation (ODIO) has announced the appointment of Alhaji Bolaji Raji as its new Grand Patron following a strategic visit by the organisation’s leadership and representatives to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The visit formed part of ODIO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen and expand its organisational structure while advancing its mission of promoting unity, peace, development, and integrity across Yorubaland and Nigeria.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Advisory Council, Hon. Adewale Fasade, introduced members of the delegation and presented an overview of the organisation’s vision and objectives. He emphasized ODIO’s commitment to fostering socio-political development and strengthening cooperation among Yoruba people both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.
The Director-General of the organisation, Hon. Otunba Olusola Orelaja, officially welcomed Alhaji Bolaji Raji into the organisation as Grand Patron. He noted that the inclusion of respected and influential figures such as Raji would further enhance the organisation’s drive toward achieving its goals.
Orelaja also outlined the responsibilities attached to the office of the Grand Patron, describing the appointment as a significant step toward consolidating ODIO’s leadership structure and influence.
In his response, Alhaji Bolaji Raji expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of ODIO for the honour bestowed upon him. He commended the dedication, courage, and commitment demonstrated by members of the organisation toward promoting peace, unity, and progress among Yoruba people and the Nigerian nation.
He further appreciated the delegation for making the visit despite the short notice and assured the organisation of his unwavering support.
According to him, the appointment has strengthened his commitment to protecting and promoting the interests of Yoruba people both at home and abroad.
Members of the ODIO delegation present during the visit included Ibrahim Aduke Mariam from Ogun State, Hon. Otunba Olusola Orelaja from Lagos State, Suleiman Abiola Wemimo from Ondo State, Hon. Saint Michael from Ekiti State, Hon. Adewale Fasade from Osun State, Samuel Ogbonlaye from Kogi State, and Bolanle Yusuf from Kwara State.
The organisation said the appointment marks another milestone in its efforts to deepen collaboration and expand its influence across Yorubaland and beyond.
