Telecom SC of Egypt striker, Nwanna Okechukwu was in sublime form as his side defeated the league leaders, Abu Qir Semad by a lone goal.

Although, Nwanna was not on the scoresheet but he did well enough to receive plaudits from his coaching crew and club management in general.

The team, which is tutored by Nigerian coach, Aliyu Zubair, despite being a man down in the game, kept their shape, comportment and calmness to rattle the leaders at the weekend.

The power -playing striker has netted 2 goals in 5 appearances for his side this season, who are chasing promotion into the Premier league from the Egyptian Division 2A league where they are currently playing.

“Okechukwu is doing very well in Egypt reveals his local coach, Nathaniel Olagunju of FC Bethel Sporting where the player joined the Egyptian club from.

“He has netted 2 goals in 5 matches so far this season for the club.

“He is highly regarded because of his work rate and overall contributions to the team’s quest for promotion.

*We hope he keeps improving and working on his game daily”, he noted.

Telecom SC has now moved up to 5th position on the log with 23 points from 14 matches following the victory over Abu Qir Semad.
