Head Coach of Delta Queens Fc of Asaba, Tosan Bob Blankson Junior, TBBJ, has expressed confidence that upon the return of some of his influencial players from the Falconets, to join forces with those in camp, Delta Queens will display her full strength against her opponents at the Super six Tournament.
Coach Blankson said the experience gotten by three of his players who played some vital part for the Falconets to the final of the maiden Under 20 Wafu Cup B tournament in Ghana will help the team improve more than their strength in the just concluded 2022/23 Nigeria Women football League ( Premiership) NWFL, were they emerged winner of Group A.
He said jokingly that his girls are in high spirit to face any opportunity in their sheriffdom.
“My girls are fully prepared to win the NWFL Super Six Championship as first trophy to our new Governor Sheriff Oborevwori “.
The former Warri Wolves gaffer who led Delta Queens Fc unbeaten run in the just concluded Nigeria women football league ( Premiership) said their motivator, Tonobok Okowa’s effort is still available to tap from.
Following the readjustment date of the tournament to June 6-11 2023, in Asaba, Delta Queens will face current champions Bayelsa Queens,Edo Queens, Confluence Queens, Fc Robbo and Rivers Angels who defeated them in the female FA cup round of 16 tie, as their only defeat of the season via kicks from the Penalty mark.
