    NOC/ Sport-For-All Commission Set To Organize Olympic Day Celebration

    The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and the Sport For All Commission are set to organize the Olympic Day celebration on Saturday, June 28, 2025. This special day aims to promote the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect while encouraging people of all ages to engage in physical activity for at least 30 minutes daily, aligning with the World Health Organization’s recommendation for good health.

    Key Objectives:

    This is to promote Physical Activity– Highlight the benefits of exercise, such as burning calories, toning muscles, shaping the body, and reducing stress.

    Foster Connections: Encourage people to engage in physical activity regularly to build meaningful relationships between young and old.

    – Social Inclusion: Emphasize the importance of exercising with others, making it more enjoyable and social.

    Call to Action: State Sports Councils: Begin preparations for the event, building on the success of previous years.

    Corporate Support: NOC invites corporate and philanthropic individuals to donate financially or provide products, which can benefit their companies.

    Community Participation: NOC urges all to Invite someone to join in getting active, making exercise a fun and social experience.

    Dr. Abdul Ibrahim, Chairman of NOC Sport-For-All Commission, emphasizes the importance of a social and inclusive approach to promoting physical activity. By working together, the NOC aims to make a positive impact on the general public’s health and well-being.
