The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and Sunshine School are set to co-host a Sports Administration Course in Ibadan, Oyo State, from November 17-21, 2025. The course, a collaborative effort with Olympic Solidarity, Dynaspro Sports, and Sunshine School, aims to equip key sports stakeholders with essential administrative skills.
The programme is designed for Directors of Sports, Sports Officers, Heads of Sports Departments, Sports Marketers, and Games Masters, and will cover topics such as Olympic values, governance, and organisational management. The curriculum is based on the framework and manual provided by Olympic Solidarity, the educational arm of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The course will be delivered through a blended approach, combining onsite and virtual modules, and will be led by IOC-certified National Course Directors, Mr Nweri Emmanuel and Dr. (Mrs.) Esther Oluwatoyin Aluko, along with a panel of distinguished speakers.
NOC President, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, will declare the course open, underscoring the committee’s commitment to empowering sports administrators. The initiative is part of the IOC’s global educational outreach, aimed at fostering sustainable development and excellence in sports organisations.
Participants are expected to gain valuable knowledge and skills to support athletes and enhance their organisations. The course is a significant step towards promoting sports development in Nigeria and beyond.
