    Nigerian Artiste, Tems Outshines Others Wins 2025 Grammy Awards

    Tems has won first individual Grammy Award for 2025 edition at global ceremony, which is the 67th Grammy.

    Tems won the Best African Music Performance with her hit single “Love Me Jeje”.This Marks her second win.

    She beat Burna Boy, Chris Brown, Davido, Asake, Yemi Alade and others to emerge winner.

    “Dear God, thank you so much for putting me on this stage and bringing me this team,” tems said in her acceptance speech. She dedicated the award to her mother, whose birthday is on february 3.

    Also, the win added to her already impressive Grammy journey. Born 23 years go, Tems has enjoyed upward journey in her music career.In 2023, Tems got her first Grammy award for Best Melodic Rap Performance wit Future ‘Wait For You’ featuring Drake in the 65th Annual Grammys.

    For 2025, Tems had eight nominations, with “Love Me JeJe” being winning Best African Music Performance.

    She was also nominated for Best R&B Song with “Burning” and Best Global Music Album with “Born in the Wild.”
    Tems, born Temilade Openiyi, 29 now joins the ranks of Burna Boy, who won the Best Global Music Album Grammy in 2021 for his album Twice As Tall.

    The 2025 Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, US.
