Nigeria V’Ball Premiership: Volleyball Federation Partners Nig. Customs for Bumper 2024 Premier League

    By: Chinedum Ohanusi

At least eighteen (18) teams, have confirmed their participation for the 2024 Nigeria Volleyball men’s and women’s Premier League, scheduled to hold in Abuja, from August 24th to September 10th, 2024.

Like the previous editions, this year’s championships are to be contested over two phases, and are  organized by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), in  collaboration with the Office of the Comptroller-General of Customs.

According to the NVBF, all matches in both the categories will be staged at the Indoor Sports Hall, located in Package B, of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

The men’s and women’s Premier League, are the elitist domestic competition in Nigeria, and aside from showcasing the best of the game, beyond the shores of the country, it is an avenue for teams, to foster and promote  friendship and engender teamwork.

Some of the participating teams are; Adamawa Spartans, Kada Kings of Kaduna, Nigeria Customs Service of Abuja, and Benue Queens. Offa Volleyball Club of Kwara State are the reigning men’s champions, having won the 2023 Premier League.

Similarly, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Spikers are the reigning women’s champions; having  won that category ahead of the Vice Champions NSCDC of Abuja, and HQ Nigerian Army (COAS Spikers) also of Abuja.
