    Nigeria Meets Gambia in West Africa Deaf Football Championship Final

    The Deaf Super Eagles of Nigeria Will on Saturday, take Gambia in the final of the 13th West Africa Deaf Football championship holding at the Moshood Abiola National stadium, Abuja.Photo Caption:

    To get to the final, the Deaf Eagles on Wednesday, defeated Niger Republic 2-0 in the first semi-finals while Gambia trashed Liberia 2-0 ialso in the second semi-finals on Thursday.
    Ironically, both teams played in same group A during the preliminary rounds and Nigeria beat Gambia 3-2 during the group stage when they first met.

    Liberia will face Niger Republic in the 3rd place match today being friday 29 August 2025 ahead of the grand finale on Saturday 30 August 2025
    Nigeria, the defending champion is seeking her 6th title having won the trophy 5 times in the past with the last being in 2024 in Lagos.

    With 5 goals to his credit, Eagles utility player and tormentor in-chief, Ike Chukwuemeka, who scored the two goals against Niger Republic to take Nigeria to the final,, is once again being looked upon to deliver the goods
    Meanwhile, the athletics events will begin today at the same Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja and will end in the early hours of Saturday to pave way for the football grand finale.
