    Niger-Delta Sports Festival Sets Impressive Benchmark, Says Ogo Clarkson

    Ogo Clarkson, CEO of Topsportsafrik, has commended President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of Mallam Shehu Dikko and Hon Bukola Olopade of the National Sports Commission (NSC) for their support of the just-concluded Niger Delta Sports Festival (NDSF) held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

    The award-winning journalist also praised the organizers, led by Itiako Ikpokpo, Fred Edoreh, Harry Iwuala and the media team, for settingĀ  high standard.

    He said the NDSF has exposed young athletes under the stipulated 14-25 age grade, providing a platform for them to showcase their talents.

    “The festival will help South-South sports administrators understand the importance of developing their athletes, maintaining/building more sports facilities in the region”.

    Ogo Clarkson urged state governments to upgrade sports facilities in schools to enable other sports to thrive and get students involved”.

    He warned that Delta State needs to be on their heels, as the tight contest shows that other states are fully ready to give them a fight in the forthcoming National Sports Festival in Ogun State.

    President Bola Tinubu recently appointed Shehu Dikko as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, following the dissolution of the Ministry of Sports Development is yielding results .Team Bayelsa state narrowly emerged winner of team Delta state with 42 gold medals against 41 Gold medals to show the tight rivalry.
