The President General of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, has congratulated Mr. Samson Adamu on his appointment as the Acting Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), describing the development as well deserved and a welcome advancement for Nigerian and African football.

Dr. Ladipo stated that Samson Adamu’s appointment did not come as a surprise, considering his impressive track record and long-standing contributions to football development across the continent. He highlighted Adamu’s commitment to the growth of the game, particularly his role in organizing the annual beach soccer tournaments in Lagos, which have contributed significantly to the development and promotion of beach soccer in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.

He also noted that Adamu’s rise within CAF, especially his previous role as Head of Competitions, demonstrated his administrative competence, leadership ability, and deep understanding of football management at the continental level.

According to Dr. Ladipo, the Nigeria Football Supporters Club and the entire Nigerian football fraternity are proud of the milestone achievement and are confident that Samson Adamu will perform excellently in his new role. He added that his appointment would further strengthen Nigeria’s presence and influence in African football administration.

“The entire members of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club and the Nigerian football community celebrate this milestone with him and we are confident that he will deliver and justify the confidence reposed in him,” Dr. Ladipo said.

He wished Samson Adamu a successful tenure and prayed for wisdom, strength, and good health as he takes on the new responsibility of helping to manage football administration at the highest level in Africa.
