    NAFED gears up for National Open Championship in Abuja from April 20-26

    The Nigeria Archery Federation ( NAFED) has concluded plans to kick start it’s 2026 activities with the National Archery Open championship in Abuja from 20-26 April 2026.The events to be completed for include Bare, Recurve and Compound Bows, with only World approved equipment to be used.

    All events are open to youth below 18 years of age and adults above 18 years of age.will be allowed to participate.

    All events are open to male and female athletes while categories include 15, 30, 50 and 70 metres.
    Meanwhile, payment of statutory annual license by participants and provision of license up to 2026 with prove of payment duly signed by the Federation is one of the conditions for participation.

    Participants can be nominees from states, clubs, institutions, academies or individuals.

    There should also be evidence of payment of affiliation mandatory fees as earlier published and must be paid to guarantee participation. So
    All payment should be made to the Archery Federation bank account.
