The contingents of the Union were warmly received by the Deputy Managing Director of PTML, Mr. Nitin Senan, who stood in for the Managing Director, Mr. Ascanio Ruso, who was unavoidably absent.

Mr. Senan thanked Comrade Bunu for the timely visit, while introducing his team of Mr. Raul Bhargava as the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), Mr. Daniel Uti, Human Resource Manager, Grimaldi Agency Nig, and Janel, Chairman of the Agency.

The DMD of the company says he has had very robust relationship with everybody and particularly with the leadership of the Maritme Workers Union, which cordial relationships over decades has never been in doubt; having known the current PG of the Union, Comrade Bunu for twenty years running when he stepped into the soil of Nigeria. He also sighted Comrade Abass, the current President of Shipping Branch of the Union; while recognizing and congratulating them for their landslide victory over the Union’s elections held in Lagos recently.

The fiercy labour activist, veteran sailor, and astute administrator added that the visit is to show appreciation for PTML goodly relationships with MWUN, which had long been built on a very strong platform; stressing that the Union’s door is always open for fresh ideas of development, progression and of mutual benefits for both bodies as the globe keeps revolving and evolving, so both organizations can as well match up with the pace of national and international development simultaneously in the sector.

Sinan says he’s happy to receiving the Union and promised that his management would continue to partner MWUN at all times, given its longstanding ingenuine synergy with the Union in the nation’s maritme space.
