    MWUN COMMISERATES WITH ASU BEKS OVER HIS WIFE’S DEMISE

    The Maritme Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) President-General, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi and his Union executives have commiserated with Chief Asu Beks over the demise of his late wife, Mrs Helen Asu Beks, whose sad event occurred on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

    Comrade Asu Beks, you know is a frontline Maritme Journalist in Nigeria and had worked with various media organizations across the country, amongst which are defunct Concord Group of Newspapers and other media houses numerous to mention. He’s a veteran in the maritme industry and a respected Maritime Media Practitioner of note.

    The President-General of MWUN, Comrade Bunu says that the death of Mrs Helen Asu Beks is a big blow to the veteran Media juganut, whose services to the Maritme Industry cannot be overemphasized and that Asu Beks remains a friend and brother to the Maritme Workers’ Union of Nigeria. He said that the death of Helen is one that has affected the entire MWUN.

    The Maritme fierce labour Activist, Comrade Bunu admonished Asu Beks to take heart over the sad loss of his late wife; and to remember also that there’s life after life and we shall all meet one dat on rapture. The MWUN leader further buttressed his disposition saying that on earth, nothing lasts forever, not even the life of man; but the good news is that we shall on meet on resurrection to meet our Creator.

    Comrade Bunu also asked the Media Champion to take heart and look after the Children she left behind, promising him that at this crucial point of his life, the Union will not leave him alone, reminding him also that God loves him most.

    He further said that himself and his executives would continue to be with him morally, physically and mentally as the case may be.

    The foremost Maritme leader in Nigeria and his executives prayed that Asu Beks and the Children of late Mrs Helen, whom she left behind would find favour in the eyes of the Almighty God, praying also that may the soul of Madam Helen rest in perfect peace.
